VSM and Baader Rejected

The ATASMIYA association, committed to a rigorous, ethical approach and to compliance with the principles it upholds, wishes to clearly inform the public, its partners, and industry professionals of its position regarding certain types of products.

ATASMIYA does not certify products containing Mechanically Separated Meat (MSM), nor products made using badder. MSM is obtained through an industrial process that mechanically recovers meat residues remaining on bones after cutting. Although this practice may be permitted within certain regulatory frameworks, it does not meet the quality standards and requirements set out in our specifications.

Similarly, products made using badder, resulting from specific processing methods, do not meet the criteria of traceability, transparency, and process control that our association seeks to promote.

In the interest of consistency, consumer protection, and adherence to its commitments, ATASMIYA therefore excludes any certification of these categories of products.

Our mission remains grounded in the quality of raw materials, transparency of processes, and strict application of our requirements, in order to ensure reliable, responsible certification aligned with the values we uphold.
